النسرَ القديمَ الأيّامThe eagle, the Ancient of DaysL’aigle, l’Ancien des joursL’neshro ’atiq yawmoto

ܛܥܺܝܢܳܐ ܠܶܗ ܘܙܳܡ̇ܪܳܐ ܫܽܘܒܚܳܐ

تحملُه وهي ترتّلُ التمجيدَShe carries Him and sings praiseElle le porte et chante la louangeT’ino léh w’zomro shoubho

ܒܢܽܘܨܪ̈ܳܬܳܐ ܚܰܒܺܝ̈ܒܳܬܳܐ

بالأناشيدِ العزيزةWith beloved chantsPar des chants bien-aimésB’nousroto habiboto

ܐܳܘ ܒܰܪ ܥܰܬܺܝܪܳܐ ܕܰܒܩܶܢܳܐ ܙܥܽܘܪܳܐ

يا ابنَ الغنيِّ يا مَن في عشٍّ صغيرO Son of the Rich One, you who in a small nestÔ Fils du Riche, toi qui, dans un petit nidO bar ’atiro dab’qeno z’ouro

ܫܦ̣ܰܪ ܠܳܟ ܕܬܶܬܪܰܒܶܐ

حَسُنَ لكَ أن تتربّىWere pleased to be raisedAs trouvé bon d’être élevéShfar lokh d’tetrabé

ܐܳܘ ܩܺܝܬܳܪ ܩ̈ܳܠܶܐ ܕܫܰܬܺܝܩ ܐܰܝܟ ܫܰܒܪܳܐ

يا قيثارةَ الألحان الصامتة كالطفلO harp of melodies, silent as a childÔ harpe des mélodies, silencieuse comme un enfantO qitor qolé d’shatiq aykh shabro

ܦܩ̣ܽܘܕ ܠܺܝ ܕܶܐ݀ܙܡܰܪ ܠܳܟ

مُرْني فأُنشدَ لكَCommand me, that I may sing to YouCommande-moi, afin que je chante pour ToiFqoud li d’ezmar lokh

ܒܟܶܢܳܪܳܐ ܕܰܡ̇ܙܺܝܥ ܪܶܬܡܶܗ ܠܰܟܪ̈ܽܘܒܶܐ

بالكنّارة الّتي تحرِّكُ همساتُها الكاروبيمWith the lyre whose murmur stirs the cherubimAvec la lyre dont le murmure émeut les chérubinsB’kenoro dam’zi’ retméh la’krouvé
