ܠܡܳܪܶܗ ܚܰܠܳܐ ܐܰܘ̣ܫܶܛ ܠܶܗ

ناولَ سيّدَهُ خلًّاHeld out vinegar to its LordA tendu du vinaigre à son SeigneurL’moreh halo awshet leh

ܥܰܩ̣ܪܶܗ ܘܰܕܪܳܝܼܗ̱ܝ ܒܶܝܬ ܥܰܡ̱ܡ̈ܶܐ

فاستأصلَهُ سيّدَهُ وشتَّتَهُ بين الشعوبHe uprooted it and scattered it among the peoplesIl l’a déracinée et dispersée parmi les peuples’Aqreh wa’droy bet ’amé

ܘܰܓܒ̣ܳܐ ܠܥܺܕ̄ܬܳܐ ܡܗܰܝܡܰܢܬܳܐ

واختارَ البيعةَ المؤمنةAnd he chose the faithful ChurchEt il a choisi l’Église fidèleWa’ghbo l’Idto mhaymanto

ܘܗܳܐ ܙܳܡ̇ܪܳܐ ܠܶܗ ܬܶܫܒܽܘܚܬܳܐ

ܒܪܺܝܟ ܕܰܒܚܰܫܶܗ ܦ̣ܪܰܩ ܥܺܕ̄ܬܶܗ

تبارَكَ مَن بألامِهِ خلَّصَ بيعتَهُBlessed is he who by his passion redeemed his ChurchBéni soit celui qui par sa passion a racheté son ÉgliseBrikh da’bhasheh fraq ’Idteh

ܘܗܳܐ ܙܳܡ̇ܪܳܐ ܠܶܗ ܬܶܫܒܽܘܚܬܳܐ

ܥܰܠ ܚܰܫܰܘ̈ܗ̱ܝ ܕܺܝܚܺܝܕܳܝܳܐ

عن آلامِ الوحيدConcerning the sufferings of the Only-BegottenSur les souffrances de l’Unique’Al hashaw d’ihidoyo

ܕܰܒܗܽܘܢ ܦܳܪܶܩ̇ ܠܶܗ ܠܥܳܠܡܳܐ

ܕܰܒܠܰܥ̣ܬ ܐܶܢܶܝܢ ܒܶܝܬ ܪ̈ܳܚܡܰܝܟ

وقد كابَدْتَها في بيتِ مُحبِّيكَ؟Which you suffered in the house of those who love youQue tu as subies dans la maison de ceux qui t’aimentDa’bla’t enen bet rohmayk

ܒܪܺܝܟ ܚܰܝܳܐ ܕܶܐܬ̣ܳܐ ܘܰܐܚ̣ܠܶܡ

تباركَ الحيُّ الّذي أتى وشفَىBlessed is the Living One who came and healedBéni soit le Vivant qui est venu et a guériBrikh hayo d’eto wa’hlem

ܡܰܚܘ̈ܳܬܳܐ ܕܓܶܢܣܰܢ ܫܰܦܠܳܐ

جروحاتِ جنسنا الواهنThe wounds of our feeble raceLes blessures de notre race défaillanteMahwoto d’ghensan shaflo

ܚܙܳܝ̣ܗ̱ܝ ܐܶܫܰܥܝܳܐ ܠܰܡܫܺܝܚܳܐ

عاينَ أشعيا المسيحَIsaiah beheld the MessiahIsaïe a vu le MessieHzoy Esha’yo la’Mshiho

ܕܰܨܒܺܝܥܺܝܢ ܢܰܚܬܰܘ̈ܗ̱ܝ ܒܰܕܡܳܐ

ܘܶܐܬ̣ܢܰܒܺܝ ܒܪܽܘܚܳܐ ܘܶܐܡ̣ܰܪ

فتنبَّأَ بالروحِ وقال:And he prophesied in the Spirit and saidEt il a prophétisé dans l’Esprit et a ditW’etnabi b’rouho w’emar

ܕܡܰܢܽܘ ܕܳܐ݀ܬܶܐ ܡܶܢ ܐܰܕܽܘܡ

من هو الآتي من أَدُومWho is this that comes from EdomQui est celui qui vient d’ÉdomD’manou d’oté men Adoum

ܘܰܐܝܟ ܥܳܨܽܘܪܳܐ ܒܰܕܡܳܐ ܨܒܺܝܥ

وكالعاصِرِ مصبوغٌ بالدم؟And like one who treads the winepress is stained with bloodEt comme un fouleur au pressoir, teint de sangWakh ‘osouro ba’dmo sbi’
