ܩܽܘ̣ܡ ܥܰܕܰܪܰܝ̣ܢܝ ܘܰܦܪܽܘ̣ܩܰܝܢܝ ܐܶܡ̣ܰܪ ܐܳܕܳܡ

قُمِ اعضُدْني وخلِّصْني، قالَ آدمArise, help me and save me, said AdamLève-toi, secours-moi et sauve-moi, dit AdamQoum ’adarayn wafrouqayn emar Odom

عجِزْتُ عن مقاومتهِما فأكلْتُ الثمرةِ الّتي أعطتانِي إيَّاهاI was overcome by them, for I ate the fruit that they gave meJ’ai succombé devant eux, car j’ai mangé le fruit qu’ils m’ont donnéHobet menhoun ’al d’ekhlet piro d’yabou li

وتعرَّيْتُ من المجدِ الّذي ألبَسْتَني إيّاه، فارحَمْنيAnd I was stripped of the glory you clothed me with; have mercy on meEt j’ai été dépouillé de la gloire dont tu m’avais revêtu ; aie pitié de moiW’shelhet shoubho dalbeshton rahem ’lay

قيَّدَني الشرِّيرُ بسلاسِلِ الإثمِ وقيودِهThe evil one bound me with chains and fetters of iniquityLe malin m’a lié avec les chaînes et les entraves de l’iniquitéFakhran bisho b’shishloto w’soutmé d’awlo

حنانُكَ يا ربَّنا فليُقَطِّعْ لي قيوديMay your compassion, our Lord, sever my bondsQue ta tendresse, notre Seigneur, brise mes liensHnonokh Moran hou nfaseq li asouray

ܘܢܰܐܣ̣ܶܐ ܐܶܢܶܝܢ ܠܰܚܒܳܪ̈ܳܬܝ ܘܪܰܚ̣ܶܡ ܥܠܰܝ

وليَشْفِ جراحاتي، وارحَمْنيAnd may it heal my wounds; have mercy on meEt qu’elle guérisse mes blessures ; aie pitié de moiW’nasé enén lahboroty w’rahem ’lay
