ܘܠܰܬܪ̈ܺܝܨܰܝ ܠܶܒܳܐ ܚܰܕܽܘܬܳܐ

والفرحُ على مستقيمي القلوبAnd joy upon the upright of heartEt la joie sur les cœurs droitsWal’trisay lebo hadouto

ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܡܳܪܰܢ ܡܫܺܝܚܳܐ

يسوعُ ربُّنا المسيحJesus our Lord, the ChristJésus notre Seigneur, le ChristYeshou’ Moran Mshiho

ܕܢ̣ܰܚ ܠܰܢ ܡܶܢ ܥܽܘܒܳܐ ܕܰܐܒܽܘܗ̱ܝ

ܘܰܐܢܗ̣ܰܪ ܠܰܢ ܒܢܽܘܗܪܶܗ ܓܰܐܝܳܐ

وبنورِه الوهّاجِ أنارَناAnd gave us light with his glorious lightEt nous a illuminés de sa lumière éclatanteWa’nhar lan b’nouhreh gayo

ܐܺܝܡܳܡܳܐ ܕܢ̣ܰܚ ܥܰܠ ܒܢܰܝ̈ܢܳܫܳܐ

إندفقَ النهارُ على البشرDay has dawned upon the children of menLe jour s’est levé sur les fils des hommesImomo dnah ’al bnaynosho

ܘܰܥܪܰܩ̣ ܫܽܘܠܛܳܢܶܗ ܕܚܶܫܽܘܟܳܐ

وانهزمَ سلطانُ الليلAnd the dominion of darkness has fledEt la domination des ténèbres a fuiWa’raq shoultoneh d’heshoukho

ܢܽܘܗܪܳܐ ܕܢ̣ܰܚ ܠܰܢ ܡܶܢ ܢܽܘܗܪܶܗ

من نورِه شرقَ علينا نورLight has dawned upon us from his lightDe sa lumière une lumière s’est levée sur nousNouhro dnah lan men nouhreh

ܘܰܐܢܗ̣ܰܪ ܥܰܝ̈ܢܶܐ ܚܶܫܽܘ̈ܟܳܬܳܐ

وأنارَ عيونَنا المظلمةAnd has enlightened our darkened eyesEt a illuminé nos yeux obscurcisWa’nhar ’ayné heshoukhoto

ܫܽܘܒܚܶܗ ܕܢ̣ܰܚ ܒܓܰܘ ܬܺܐܒܶܝܠ

سَنيَّ مجدِه أفاضَ على المسكونةHis glory has shone throughout the worldSa gloire a resplendi à travers le mondeShoubheh dnah b’ghaw tibel

ܘܰܐܢܗ̣ܰܪ ܠܰܬܗܽܘ̈ܡܶܐ ܬܰܚܬܳܝ̈ܶܐ

وأنار اللججَ السفلىAnd has lit up the depths belowEt a éclairé les abîmes d’en basWa’nhar lat’houmé tahtoyé

ܕܥ̣ܶܟ ܡܰܘܬܳܐ ܘܰܥ̣ܪܰܩ ܚܶܫܽܘܟܳܐ

ماتَ الموتُ وبادَ الظلامDeath was quenched and darkness fledLa mort s’est éteinte et les ténèbres ont fuiD’ekh mawto wa’raq heshoukho

ܘܶܐܬܬܰܒ̣ܰܪܘ ܬܰܪ̈ܥܶܝܗ̇ ܕܰܫܝܽܘܠ

وتحطّمتْ أبوابُ الجحيمAnd the gates of Sheol were shatteredEt les portes du Shéol ont été briséesWetabarou tar’éh da’Shioul

ܘܰܐܢܗ̣ܰܪ ܠܟܽܠܗܶܝܢ ܒܶܪ̈ܝܳܬܳܐ

وأنارَ جميعَ البراياAnd he gave light to all creaturesEt il a illuminé toutes les créaturesWa’nhar l’khoulhén beryoto

ܕܡܶܢ ܠܽܘܩܕܰܡ ܚܶܫܽܘ̈ܟܳܢ ܗ̱ܘܰܝ̈

ومظلمةً كانتْ منذ القديمWhich from of old had been in darknessQui depuis longtemps étaient dans les ténèbresD’men louqdam heshoukhon way

ܩܳܡ̣ܘ ܡܺܝ̈ܬܶܐ ܫܟܺܝ̈ܒܰܝ ܥܰܦܪܳܐ

قامَ الأمواتُ الراقدون في الترابThe dead who lay in the dust aroseLes morts couchés dans la poussière se sont levésQomou mité shkhibay ’afro

ܘܫܰܒ̣ܰܚܘ ܕܰܗܘ̣ܳܐ ܠܗܽܘܢ ܦܳܪܽܘܩܳܐ

ومجّدُوا لأنّه صارَ لهم مخلّصAnd gave glory, for a Saviour had come to themEt ont rendu gloire, car un Sauveur leur était advenuW’shabahou da’hwo lhoun Forouqo

ܥܒ̣ܰܕ ܦܽܘܪܩܳܢܳܐ ܘܝܰܗ̱ܒ̣ ܠܰܢ ܚܰܝ̈ܶܐ

عمِلَ خلاصًا ووهبَ لنا الحياةHe wrought salvation and gave us lifeIl a accompli le salut et nous a donné la vie’Bad fourqono w’yab lan hayé

ܘܶܐܬܥ̣ܰܠܺܝ ܠܘܳܬ ܐܰܒܽܘܗ̱ܝ ܪܳܡܳܐ

وصعِدَ إلى أبيهِ العليّAnd ascended to his exalted FatherEt il est monté vers son Père très-hautWet’ali lwot Abouy romo

ܘܬܽܘܒ ܐܳ݀ܬܶܐ ܒܫܽܘܒܚܶܗ ܪܰܒܳܐ

وإنّه آتٍ بمجدٍ عظيمAnd again he comes in his great gloryEt il revient dans sa grande gloireW’toub oté b’shoubheh rabo

ܘܡܰ݀ܢܗܰܪ ܥܰܝ̈ܢܶܐ ܕܟܽܠ ܕܣܰܟܺܝ̣ܘ ܠܶܗ

ينيرُ العيونَ الّتي انتظرتْهُAnd enlightens the eyes of all who have waited for himEt il illumine les yeux de tous ceux qui l’ont attenduW’manhar ’ayné d’khoul d’sakiw leh

ܡܰܠܟܰܢ ܐܳ݀ܬܶܐ ܒܫܽܘܒܚܳܐ ܪܰܒܳܐ

ملكُنا آتٍ بمجدِه العظيمOur King comes in great gloryNotre Roi vient dans une grande gloireMalkan oté b’shoubho rabo

ܢܰܢ̣ܗܰܪ ܫܪ̈ܳܓܰܝܢ ܘܢܶܦ̣ܽܘܩ ܠܽܐܘܪܥܶܗ

لنشعلنَّ سرجَنا ونخرُجْ إليهLet us light our lamps and go out to meet himAllumons nos lampes et sortons à sa rencontreNanhar shroghayn w’nefouq l’our’eh

ܢܶܚ̣ܕܶܐ ܒܶܗ ܐܰܝܟ ܕܰܚ̣ܕܺܝ ܒܰܢ

ولنفرحنَّ به كما فرِحَ بناLet us rejoice in him as he has rejoiced in usRéjouissons-nous en lui comme il s’est réjoui en nousNehdé beh akh da’hdi ban

ܕܗ̣ܽܘ ܡ̇ܚܰܕܶܐ ܠܰܢ ܒܢܽܘܗܪܶܗ ܓܰܐܝܳܐ

فيفرّحَنا بنورِه الوضّاحFor he gladdens us with his glorious lightCar il nous réjouit de sa lumière éclatanteD’hou mhadé lan b’nouhreh gayo

ܫܽܘܒܚܳܐ ܢܰܣ̣ܶܩ ܠܪܰܒܽܘܬܶܗ

ساطعَ المجدِ نرفعُ إلى جلالهLet us raise up glory to his majestyÉlevons la gloire vers sa majestéShoubho naseq l’rabbouteh

ܘܟܽܠܰܢ ܢܰܘ̣ܕܶܐ ܠܰܐܒܽܘܗ̱ܝ ܪܳܡܳܐ

لنحمدنَّ أباه العليّAnd let us all give thanks to his exalted FatherEt rendons tous grâce à son Père très-hautW’khoulan nawdé l’Abouy romo

ܕܰܣ̣ܓܺܝܘ ܪ̈ܰܚܡܰܘܗ̱ܝ ܫܰܠ̣ܚܶܗ ܨܶܝܕܰܝܢ

فقد أغزَرَ مراحمَه وأرسلَه إليناWhose mercies abounded, and he sent him to usDont les miséricordes ont abondé, et il nous l’a envoyéDa’sghiw rahmaw shalheh sédayn

ܘܰܥܒ̣ܰܕ ܠܰܢ ܣܰܒܪܳܐ ܘܦܽܘܪܩܳܢܳܐ

فأنشأَ لنا رجاءً وخلاصًاAnd made for us hope and salvationEt a fait pour nous espérance et salutWa’bad lan sabro w’fourqono

ܝܰܘܡܳܐ ܕܕܳܢܰܚ̇ ܡܶܢ ܫܶܠܝܳܐ

يطلعُ نهارُه فجأةًOn the day that dawns suddenlyLe jour qui se lève soudainementYawmo d’donah men shelyo

ܢܳܦ̇ܩܺܝܢ ܠܽܐܘܪܥܶܗ ܩܰܕܺܝ̈ܫܶܐ

فيخرجُ إليه القدّيسونThe saints go out to meet himLes saints sortent à sa rencontreNofqin l’our’eh qadishé

ܘܡܰ݀ܢܗܪܺܝܢ ܠܰܡܦܺܝܕܰܝ̈ܗܽܘܢ

ويشعلُ المصابيحAnd they light their lampsEt ils allument leurs lampesW’manhrin lampidayhoun

ܟܽܠ ܕܰܠܺܐܝ̣ܘ ܘܰܥܡ̣ܰܠܘ ܘܶܐܬܛܰܝ̣ܰܒܘ

كلُّ الّذين تعبُوا وكافحُوا واستعدُّواAll who have toiled and laboured and made themselves readyTous ceux qui ont peiné, travaillé et se sont préparésKoul da’liw wa’malou wetayabou

ܚܳ݀ܕܶܝܢ ܡܰܠܰܐܟ̈ܶܐ ܘܥܺܝܪ̈ܰܝ ܫܡܰܝ̈ܳܐ

حينئذٍ يفرحُ الملائكةُ وجنودُ السماءThe angels and the watchers of heaven rejoiceLes anges et les veilleurs du ciel se réjouissentHodén malaké w’iray shmayo

ܒܫܽܘܒܚܳܐ ܕܟܺܐܢ̈ܶܐ ܘܰܕܙܰܕܺܝ̈ܩܶܐ

بمجدِ الأبرار والصدّيقينIn the glory of the just and the righteousDans la gloire des justes et des saintsB’shoubho d’kiné wad’zadiqé

ܘܣܳܝ̇ܡܺܝܢ ܟܠܺܝ̈ܠܶܐ ܒܪ̈ܺܝܫܰܝܗܽܘܢ

تعلُو الأكاليلُ رؤوسَهمAnd they set crowns upon their headsEt ils posent des couronnes sur leurs têtesW’soymin klilé b’rishayhoun

ܘܰܐܟܚܕܳܐ ܡ̇ܝܰܒܒܺܝܢ ܘܰܡ̇ܗܰܠܠܺܝܢ

وهم يشيدُون معًا ويهلّلُونAnd together they acclaim and give praiseEt ensemble ils acclament et louentWakhhdo myabbin wa’mhallin

ܐܰܚܰܝ̈ ܩܽܘܡ̣ܽܘܢ ܘܶܐܬܛܰܝ̣ܰܒܘ

أيّها الإخوةُ هبُّوا واستعدُّواMy brothers, arise and make yourselves readyMes frères, levez-vous et préparez-vousAhay qoumoun wetayabou

ܘܢܰܘ̣ܕܶܐ ܠܡܰܠܟܰܢ ܘܰܠܦܳܪܽܘܩܰܢ

فنحمدَ ملكَنا ومخلّصَناAnd let us give thanks to our King and our SaviourEt rendons grâce à notre Roi et à notre SauveurW’nawdé l’malkan wal’Forouqan

ܕܳܐ݀ܬܶܐ ܒܫܽܘܒܚܶܗ ܪܰܒܳܐ

ܘܰܡ̇ܚܰܕܶܐ ܠܰܢ ܒܢܽܘܗܪܳܐ ܓܰܐܝܳܐ ܕܒܶܝܬ ܡܰܠܟܽܘܬܶܗ

يفرّحُنا بنورِه البهيِّ في الملكوتAnd gladdens us with the glorious light of his kingdomEt nous réjouit de la lumière éclatante de son royaumeWa’mhadé lan b’nouhro gayo d’bét malkouteh

ܢܽܘܗܪܳܐ ܕܢ̣ܰܚ ܠܙܰܕܺܝ̈ܩܶܐ
