يا مَن لأجلِ خلاصِ الإنسانِ صورتِهِ اتّضَعَwho for the salvation of his image humbled himselfqui, pour le salut de son image, s’est abaisséMetoul fourqono d’salmeh etmakakh

ܘܰܒܡܰܝ̈ܳܐ ܡ̣ܰܪܩܶܗ ܘܰܐܦܢ̣ܶܝܗ ܠܝܳܪܬܽܘܬܶܗ

فنقّاهُ بالمياهِ وأعادَهُ إلى ميراثِهand cleansed it in the waters and brought it back to his inheritanceet l’a purifiée dans les eaux et l’a ramenée à son héritageWa’bmayo marqeh w’afneh l’yortouteh

ܒܪܳܐ ܕܡܶܢ ܒܰܪ̱ܬ ܕܰܘܺܝܕ ܦܰܓܪܳܐ ܐܶܬܥ̣ܰܛܰܦ

أيّها الابنُ الّذي من بنتِ داودَ لَبِسَ جسدًاO Son who from the daughter of David put on a bodyÔ Fils qui, de la fille de David, a revêtu un corpsBro d’men bat Dawid faghro et’ataf

ܓܒ̣ܳܐ ܠܶܗ ܟܳܪܽܘܙܳܐ ܐܺܝܙܓܰܕܳܐ ܒܬܽܘܠܳܐ

إختارَ مُبشِّرًا مُرسَلًا بتولًاHe chose for himself a herald, a virgin messengerIl s’est choisi un héraut, un messager viergeGbo leh korouzo izgado btoulo

ܘܫ̣ܰܕܪܶܗ ܠܓܰܘ ܚܽܘܪܒܳܐ ܕܢܰܟ̣ܪܶܙ ܬܝܳܒܽܘܬܳܐ

فأرسلَهُ إلى البرّيّةِ ليبشِّرَ بالتوبةand sent him into the wilderness to proclaim repentanceet l’a envoyé au désert pour proclamer la pénitenceW’shadreh l’gaw hourbo d’nakhrez tyobouto

ܘܰܒܡܰܝ̈ܳܐ ܢܰܥ̣ܡܶܕ ܐ̱ܢܳܫ̈ܳܐ ܠܫܽܘܒܩܳܢܳܐ

ويُعمِّدَ الناسَ بالماءِ في سبيلِ الغفرانand to baptize people in the waters for forgivenesset pour baptiser les hommes dans les eaux en vue du pardonWa’bmayo na’med noshé l’shoubqono

ܩܰܒ̣ܶܠ ܥܠܰܘܗ̱ܝ ܕܢܺܐܬ̣ܶܐ ܠܒܰܛܢܳܐ ܘܡܰܘܠܳܕܳܐ

رضِيَ أن يأتيَ للحبلِ به وللميلادHe took upon himself to come to conception and to birthIl a pris sur lui de venir à la conception et à la naissanceQabel ’law d’nité l’batno w’mawlodo

وعلى يدِ عبدِه اعتمَدَ، ألمجدُ لنعمتِهand from his servant he is baptized; glory to his graceet de son serviteur il reçoit le baptême ; gloire à sa grâceW’men ’abdeh ’omed shoubho l’taybouteh

ألمجدُ لعظمتِكَ يا ابنَ العليّGlory to your greatness, O Child of the Most HighGloire à ta grandeur, ô Enfant du Très-HautShoubho l’rabboutokh yaldeh d’Eloyo

ܣܶܓܕܬܳܐ ܠܰܟܝܳܢܳܟ ܨܶܡܚܳܐ ܡܬܽܘܡܳܝܳܐ

ألسجودُ لطبعِكَ أيّها الضياءُ الأزليّAdoration to your nature, O everlasting RadianceAdoration à ta nature, ô Splendeur éternelleSeghdto la’khyonokh semho mtoumoyo
