ܒܓܽܘܕܳܐ ܕܙܳܩܽܘ̈ܦܶܐ ܚܙܺܝܼܬܶܗ ܕܡܿܶܬܒܰܙܰܚ

وسط جوقة الصالبين رأيتُهُ يُهزَأ بهIn the company of the crucifiers, I saw Him being mockedDans la troupe des crucificateurs, je L’ai vu bafouéB’goudo d’zoqoufé hziteh d’metbazah

ܘܝܶܕܥ̣ܶܬ ܕܡܶܛܽܠܳܬܝ ܚܿܳܐܶܫ ܘܥܰܠ ܐܰܦ̈ܰܝ

وعَرَفتُ أنّه يتألّمُ من أجلي وعنّيAnd I knew that He was suffering for me and on my behalfEt j’ai su qu’Il souffrait pour moi et à ma placeW’yed’et d’metouloth hoesh w’al apay

ܒܶܪܟ̣ܶܬ ܘܣܶܓ̣ܕܶܬ ܠܶܗ. ܚܰܒ̣ܒܶܬ ܘܢܰܨܰܪܬܼܶܗ

ركعتُ وسجدتُ له، عانقتُهُ وناغَيتُهI knelt and worshipped Him; I embraced Him and sang to HimJe me suis agenouillée et l’ai adoré ; je L’ai enlacé et Lui ai chantéBerket w’seghdet leh. Habbet w’nasarteh

ܫܶܒܩܼܶܬ ܠܰܐܒ̈ܳܗܰܝ ܘܐܶܬܒܰܠ̣ܥܶܬ ܒܪܶܚܡܬܶܗ

تركتُ والدَيّ وشغفتُ بحبِّهI left my parents and was wholly taken up with love for HimJ’ai quitté mes parents et je me suis éprise de son amourShebqet la’bohay wetbal’et b’rehmteh

ܘܐܶܢ ܢܽܘܪܳܐ ܬܰܣ̣ܺܝܦ ܘܬܰܘܩ̣ܕܰܢܝ

وإنْ أفنَتْني النار وأحرقَتْنيAnd if fire should consume and burn meEt si le feu me consumait et me brûlaitWen nouro tasif w’tawqdan

ܘܐܶܢ ܣܰܝܦܳܐ ܢܰܒ̣ܪܶܩ ܘܢܶܩ̣ܛܠܰܢܝ

وإنْ لمَعَ السيف وقتلَنيAnd if the sword should flash out and kill meEt si l’épée brillait et me tuaitWen sayfo nabreq w’neqtlan

ܠܳܐ ܡ̇ܨܶܝܢ ܕܰܠܪܶܚܡܰܬܝ ܢܦܰܝ̣ܓܽܘܢ

لا يقدران أن يُطفِئا حبّيThey could not quench my love for HimIls ne pourraient éteindre mon amour pour LuiLo msén dal’rehmat nfayghoun

ܒܕܰܦܢܳܟ ܩܰܒ̣ܶܠܬܳܗ̇ ܠܪܽܘܡܚܶܗ ܕܫܰܒܳܝܳܐ

في جنبِكَ قَبِلتَ رُمحَ السابيIn Your side You received the spear of the captorDans ton côté Tu as reçu la lance du ravisseurB’dafnokh qabeltoh l’roumheh d’shaboyo

ܘܐܰܦ̣ܢܺܝܬ ܘܐܰܝܬܺܝ̣ܬܳܢܝ ܠܕܰܝܪܳܟ ܕܫܰܒܝܳܐ ܗ̱ܘܺܝ̣ܬ

واسترجعتَني وجلبتَني إلى ديرِكَ بعد أن كنتُ مسبيّةًAnd You brought me back and led me, who was in captivity, into Your foldEt Tu m’as ramenée et conduite dans ta bergerie, moi qui étais captiveW’afnit w’aytiton l’dayrokh d’shabyo wit

ܘܚܰܘ̣ܺܝܬ ܠܺܝ ܚܽܘܒܳܟ ܒܚ̈ܰܫܰܝܟ ܕܡܶܛܽܠܳܬܝ

وأظهرْتَ لي حبَّكَ بآلامِكَ من أجليYou showed me Your love by Your sufferings for meTu m’as montré ton amour par tes souffrances pour moiW’hawit li houbokh b’hashayk d’metouloth

ܘܰܢܨܰܠ̣ܬ ܥܰܠ ܬܽܘܩ̈ܠܳܬܝ ܡܶܢ ܚܰܡܪܳܟ ܡܒܰܣܡܳܐ

وسكبْتَ على معاثري من خمرِكَ الطيّبYou poured out upon my offences from Your sweetened wineTu as versé sur mes chutes de ton vin parfuméWa’nsalt ’al touqloth men hamrokh mbasmo

ܘܰܒܡܶܫܚܳܟ ܐܰܢܺܝܚ̣ܬ ܡܛܰܪܦܽܘܬܝ

وبزيتِكَ أرحْتَ عذابيAnd with Your oil You brought rest to my afflictionEt par ton huile Tu as apaisé mon tourmentWa’bmeshhokh aniht mtarfouth

ܘܰܒܠܰܚܡܳܟ ܣܰܒܥ̣ܶܬ ܟܰܦܢܽܘܬܝ

وبخبزِكَ أشبَعْتُ جوعيAnd with Your bread I satisfied my hungerEt par ton pain j’ai rassasié ma faimWa’blahmokh sab’et kafnouth

ܘܒܰܓܢܽܘܢܳܟ ܥܶܡ̣ܪܶܬ ܕܠܳܐ ܚܒܳܠ

وفي خدرِكَ سَكنْتُ دون فسادAnd in Your bridal chamber I dwelt without corruptionEt dans ta chambre nuptiale j’ai demeuré sans corruptionW’ba’gnounokh ’emret d’lo hbol
